Sales Associate – Family Office, EMEA

The Opportunity
This position offers an exceptional opportunity for an experienced sales professional to join BlackRock’s rapidly expanding Family Office business in Geneva, serving clients across the Romandie and Ticino regions. The successful candidate will contribute to the management and growth of an established, multi-billion AUM platform by developing trusted relationships with Single Family Offices, Multi-Family Offices, Private Foundations, and Family-Owned Enterprises. Representing the full suite of BlackRock’s investment capabilities—including ETFs, active strategies, alternative investments, and OCIO solutions—the Sales Associate will play a pivotal role in driving strategic growth and deepening client engagement across this high-value segment.

The Position

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Development – Collaborate with senior relationship managers to design and implement an ambitious sales strategy for the Romandie and Ticino markets, aligned with BlackRock’s EMEA Family Office growth objectives.
  • Business Growth – Develop and nurture long-term relationships with Tier 2 and Tier 3 Family Offices to achieve financial targets in terms of AUM growth, new mandates, net new revenue, and product diversification.
  • Client Retention & Expansion – Proactively manage existing client relationships, identify at-risk business, and cultivate opportunities for deepened engagement across asset classes and investment structures.
  • Investment Representation – Articulate the full breadth of BlackRock’s capabilities—including active, index, and alternative strategies—to deliver innovative, client-centric solutions tailored to complex family office portfolios.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration – Partner with internal teams including iShares & Wealth, Institutional, Legal, Product Specialists, and BlackRock Investment Institute (BII) to deliver a seamless, integrated client experience.
  • Market Intelligence – Conduct ongoing analysis of market trends, client segmentation, and competitive positioning to inform strategy and uncover new business opportunities.
  • Thought Leadership – Represent BlackRock at internal and external events, develop thematic insights, and contribute to thought leadership initiatives that enhance brand presence within the family office community.
  • Operational Excellence – Maintain disciplined use of CRM and pipeline management tools; ensure accurate reporting, segmentation, and client prioritization to optimize commercial performance.

The Ideal Candidate

Qualifications:

  • 5–10 years of experience in sales, relationship management, or business development within wealth management, private banking, or institutional asset management.
  • Proven success in managing and growing relationships with Family Offices or Ultra-High-Net-Worth clients within the Romandie region.
  • Comprehensive understanding of investment solutions across asset classes, including ETFs, alternatives, active equity, fixed income, and multi-asset products.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to segment clients effectively, develop tailored business plans, and execute with discipline and precision.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging confidently with sophisticated investors and their advisors.
  • Collaborative and entrepreneurial, with a self-starter mentality and a structured, systematic approach to business development.
  • Fluency in French and English required; additional languages (such as Italian or German) considered an asset.

Working Model:
This position follows BlackRock’s hybrid work model, designed to balance flexibility with collaboration. Employees are expected to work at least four days per week in the Geneva office, with one day of remote work permitted. Occasional travel within Switzerland and EMEA may be required.
