Charles Eckhart

I am a family wealth consultant, with a background as a clinical psychologist, and expertise in helping families prepare for wealth transfer, and grow together. Alongside my co-founder, I run Cathexis Group, a family dynamics wealth consulting firm that provides consultation to families of significant wealth who want to work together better, develop a shared cohesive vision for their wealth, make the best use of their financial capital to flourish as people, and support one another through life.

We work globally with proactive families who want to clarify and operationalise their values and develop their “relational capital”. We have significant experience in working with complex and sophisticated families who want to pass their resources on to future generations and philanthropic endeavours in ways that pass along what they have learned. We believe all families have family mythology that can be leveraged to teach future generations about lessons hard learned in business and life, the importance of supportive relationships within families, the seductiveness of overvaluing financial capital, and more. We also work with families in duress who need help sorting through the complexity of wealth and relationships.

We also work with institutions like RIA’s, family offices, financial services, endowments, and more to bring best practices of psychology to build strong and enduring relationships with UHNW clients, help through life transitions, and further enrich wealth transfer preparation so that next-gen inheritors are ready to flourish and change the world.
